2014 Pedrozzi Scholar, Sarah Dreher, didn’t have much time for rest and relaxation this summer. This independent, hardworking Mills College student coached LHS cheerleading, took two online summer courses, and worked 30 hours per week as the Pedrozzi Foundation student intern.
During her 6-week internship, Sarah’s contributions included social media communications, Pedrozzi Scholar outreach, scholarship disbursement processing and event coordination. Although her internship duration was limited, her contributions were countless. Thank you, Sarah!
Returning to Mills as a sophomore, Sarah is a Resident Assistant (RA) in the dorms, reducing living expenses as she pays for college on her own through scholarships, financial aid, student loans, and personal savings. “I look forward to the challenges of being an RA. I enjoy working with people and hope that the students in my hall feel comfortable coming to me for support,” says Sarah.
Sarah is proud that she and her sister are the first generation of women in their family to go to college and says that her Pedrozzi Scholarship helped open the door to a well-rounded and self-empowering college experience.
The Pedrozzi Foundation family wishes Sarah continued success throughout her college journey!
