Shelby Rocereto is a graduate of Granada High School and a junior at Santa Clara University. She was awarded the 2018 John Shirley Undergraduate Scholarship and is pursuing a career as a veterinarian. This scholarship was funded by the Rotary Club of Livermore in honor of John Shirley, a former veterinarian and long-time community leader. In appreciation of the scholarship Shelby writes:
I’m extremely grateful and I appreciate everything that the Rotary Club of Livermore has done for the community and students like me. Not only does this scholarship help me financially, but it also encourages me to continue performing my best in college. I can’t express enough the positive impact scholarships like this have on students. I plan on using this scholarship to further my undergraduate studies and to pursue my passion with animals.
