Seventh Music in the Orchard Concert Series a Success

Home/Supporter Profiles/Seventh Music in the Orchard Concert Series a Success

The seventh annual Music in the Orchard summer concert series was a huge success and, the Pedrozzi Foundation is grateful to the Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa, Nottingham Cellars, and Posada on Wheels for naming the Foundation as a continued beneficiary of the enjoyable outdoor concerts. The Foundation was established by Livermore businessman Mario Pedrozzi, so it is appropriate for local businesses to collaborate to support local students.

The concerts have become a summertime favorite as guests relax under the olive trees of Livermore’s finest resort to enjoy talented musicians while supporting local students. Wolf Hamlin and The Front Porch Drifters, The Michael Beck Band, Toree McGee, and Crawdad Republic performed during the four-concert series. During the final September sold-out concert, the crowd enjoyed Crawdad Republic’s original tunes as well as the periodic lyric revisions promoting the Pedrozzi Foundation.

The concert proceeds help expand the Foundation’s impact. In addition to awarding scholarships to Livermore students, the Foundation works to help create a career and college bound culture among all Livermore students and families – especially those in underrepresented and underserved communities. Partnering with the school district to fund PSAT testing for all sophomores, establishing the Pedrozzi Young Scholars Program and increasing financial aid literacy are a few of the ways the Foundation is helping students reach their potential.

On behalf of Livermore students, thank you Nottingham Cellars, Purple Orchid Resort and Spa, and Posada on Wheels for making a difference today and tomorrow.
