Jay and Mary Davis have generously funded the Jack Garibaldi Tool Scholarship through the Pedrozzi Foundation in memory of Jack Garibaldi.
Jack was a longtime Pleasanton resident. He retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory after his career in the Applied Research Engineering Division’s Mechanical Engineering group.
Jack enjoyed designing and building things. He spent many hours in his home shop where he had an array of machine tools and equipment, so it is fitting that he is being honored and remembered through a Tool Scholarship.
The Jack Garibaldi Tool Scholarship was recently awarded to Giovanni Cruz (pictured right) who is an apprentice in the ABC NorCal Apprenticeship program. Giovanni’s goal is to be a successful electrician. Upon receiving the scholarship, Giovanni shared: “I will greatly benefit from this because it is helping me build an established and successful future and career for myself with being able to buy the necessary tools to start . . . I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity and will forever be grateful.”
The Pedrozzi Foundation is honored that Jay and Mary have chosen to recognize Jack in such a thoughtful and generous way.
