On Saturday, January 25, 36 Pedrozzi Young Scholars (PYS) and their families visited St. Mary’s College (SMC). In total, 86 people attended this fun event, including the PYS ranging from grades 6-12 and their siblings, friends, parents, and grandparents. It was a perfect day to tour the beautiful St. Mary’s campus.

The students and families gained knowledge from presentations given by SMC Admissions and Financial Aid staff, given in both English and Spanish. Following lunch and the presentations, SMC students led the group on a guided tour of the campus.

Attendees also attended a SMC women’s basketball game. It was a nail-biter of a game that went into overtime. Unfortunately for the Gales’ fans, the team from Santa Clara University ended up with the win.

Many of the families rode to and from the SMC campus via chartered bus, funded generously by a grant from the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Fund. Thank you Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance!
