College can be a time of great change, but within the disruption an opportunity for growth. 2014 Pedrozzi Scholar and UC Irvine student Priya Sri-Tharan explains her recent college experience:

The Pedrozzi Foundation has helped make my undergraduate education at both UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine possible, where I am pursuing the fields of Law & Business. As a new transfer student to UCI, I was nervous about changing schools and having to financially adjust. Thanks to the Pedrozzi Foundation, I was able to use my scholarship to adjust for my Fall quarter fees, which gave my family and I enough time to make arrangements for the remainder of the year. By decreasing my worries of student loans and debts, I have been able to academically excel by making Dean’s Honor Roll every quarter, was selected to be an undergraduate research assistant with one of my professors, and was selected to serve on the Executive Board for the Anteater Ambassador Network (AAN), where I am a campus ambassador at donor-related and other faculty events. The Pedrozzi Foundation has greatly eased the burden placed on my family and I to make quarterly payments for school. I am extremely grateful for the continual support that Livermore places in my education and future! I am excited to wrap up my final undergraduate year at UCI and am looking forward to traveling abroad in the Fall where I will be interning with the United Nations in Scotland as a UC-wide representative.
