On July 29, five current Pedrozzi Young Scholars (PYS), along with one PYS alumni and a PYS sibling, got a firsthand look at trade career opportunities during a visit to ABC NorCal.

The group learned about ABC NorCal’s enrollment process, including the admissions test, and explored the many resources available to help students succeed. After sharing their individual interests in the trades, the scholars toured the training center and met with the Fall Safety instructor to learn about staying safe on the job. They got to sit in on an Electrician class and talk with apprentices, gaining insight into the hands-on side of careers in electrical, road, and carpentry work.

The students left with a deeper appreciation for the career paths ahead of them. The Pedrozzi Foundation is proud to support opportunities like this one, that empower scholars to explore their interests and pursue meaningful, hands-on careers!
