A 2014 Pedrozzi Scholar, Letitia Edwards graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. She is currently enrolled at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry and is a Candidate in the Class of 2020 for a D.D.S. On the Pedrozzi Foundation’s impact she writes:
The Pedrozzi Foundation’s Scholarship enabled me to pursue higher education at two of my dream schools, UC Irvine and University of the Pacific. At UC Irvine I was able to explore avenues which I never imagined I would such as research in pediatric exercise for special needs kids and leading a group of Freshmen students through the challenging-to-navigate first year of the biological sciences program. These experiences enabled me to pursue my greatest career aspirations of becoming a dentist. Please accept my sincerest gratitude, Pedrozzi Foundation for believing in me and supporting me throughout my education. It was through your support that I could focus on experiencing all that my school could offer without having to worry as much about the financial burden.
