For Jaidee Taylor (2015 Pedrozzi Scholar and Del Valle High School graduate), becoming a Massage Therapist has been a goal since she was 8 years old. That goal is now reality; Jaidee completed her certification program at the National Holistic Institute and was recently hired as a Massage Therapist, at Tova Day Spa – Fairmont Hotel, in San Jose.
With keen focus and determination, Jaidee graduated from DVHS early and began her intensive 900-hour training program at NHI. “Education needs to be applicable for what I wanted to do for a living, so a vocational program fit me the best” states Jaidee. With hard work and dedication to her training, Jaidee was awarded a Letter of Excellence. “Finding what I was extraordinary at doing made me realize that with time and dedication, I can accomplish anything,” adds Jaidee.
Eager to gain experience and improve her skills, Jaidee hopes to someday utilize her massage therapy expertise while contracting with companies like Apple or Google and to travel abroad. “There are many job opportunities for me and so much I plan to see; I can take this profession around the world,” Jaidee says enthusiastically.
“I’m grateful that I had help from the Pedrozzi Foundation along the way. Someday I will make donations to the foundation so that it can continue to successfully grow and help even more Livermore students.”
