The library at Granada High School was full Jan. 25, 2017 as students and parents received hands-on-help from financial aid professionals and trained volunteers to complete and submit their FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application. This was the second year that the Pedrozzi Foundation sponsored a FAFSA Completion Workshop. Livermore Mayor John Marchand stopped by to congratulate students on taking an important step to pursue their educational dreams. A big shout out of thanks to staff from Las Positas College financial aid department and East Bay Consortium for providing critical expertise. We also appreciate the support our workshop sponsors: Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Congressman Eric Swalwell and Mayor John Marchand.
We recommend that all high school students submit the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application – and continue to annually do so while in college. Submitting these financial aid applications opens the door to accessing all types of financial aid. Student who submit the FAFSA have an 85% chance of receiving some type of financial aid.
