We are proud to highlight Delaney Grijalva, a 2026 Pedrozzi Scholar who will be attending Las Positas this fall to get her Associates Degree in Public Health Sciences.
Inspired by her desire to help others, Delaney hopes to transfer to a four-year university, earning her Bachelors and Masters degree in a related field. Her experience will enable her to become a Physicians Assistant, specializing in emergency medicine. Her experiences have given her the empathy and passion to help others, and she looks forward to making a difference in her community, both at Las Positas and beyond.
Delaney is incredibly grateful to the Pedrozzi Foundation and Kathy Coyle for establishing the William Scott Community College Scholarship. To Kathy, she writes:
“I am overcome with joy to be awarded the William Scott community college scholarship. I cannot express how grateful I am towards Kathy Coyles generosity. This Scholarship will allow me to focus solely on my education and future career, without having to be consumed with the cost of college.”
