At this year’s Pedrozzi Recognition Event, our 8th grade Pedrozzi Young Scholars played a big role behind the scenes as volunteers, helping to make sure that the event ran smoothly while also getting community service experience.
Volunteering at the event allowed these students to not only support the Pedrozzi Foundation, but also begin building their own foundation of service that will continue throughout their lives. From welcoming guests and leading families to their seats, to guiding Pedrozzi Scholars backstage during headshots and the group photo, our 8th grade volunteers showed leadership, responsibility, and a strong commitment to helping others. For many of these students, this was one of their first opportunities to contribute as volunteers, which sets a great example for the new Pedrozzi Young Scholars. These acts of service give an introduction to the importance of being involved in your community, which is one of the core values of the Pedrozzi Young Scholars program. We are proud of our 8th grade scholars for helping out and stepping up as role models and look forward to seeing them continue to grow as active members of the community.
