Graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to apply to the Boomerang Program.

The Boomerang Program is an 8-week paid internship program from June 17 – August 9. Students work approximately 15-20 hours per week. In addition to the internship, there will also be weekly programs offered to the interns. Some programs include workshops at the Switch, site visits to Tri-Valley employers, mentorship meetings with industry leaders and networking events.

Interns will be placed through mutual agreement of the employer and student at a local company in a field related to their career goals. Placements will be based upon both the employer’s needs and the qualifications of the applicant.

The Boomerang Program is in its second year. The program is run in partnership with Innovation Tri-Valley, the Pedrozzi Foundation, our region’s school districts, and Las Positas College, where the opportunity to earn college credit during the program is available.

Students who may be interested in applying should learn more by viewing the application. Students will apply by submitting a cover letter, resume, and application to Tim Sbranti at tsbranti@innovationtrivalley.org by May 17, 2019.
