Benjamin Smith is a 2016 Pedrozzi Scholar. Benjamin is a thoughtful, hardworking student at Willamette University in Oregon. For the past two summers, Benjamin has returned to Livermore to coach Granada High School’s football team and to work as the Pedrozzi Foundation student intern.

During his time as the student intern, Benjamin worked on a variety of projects for the Pedrozzi Foundation. Benjamin spent time working on website updates, assisting with the Boomerang Program, creating social media posts, communicating with Pedrozzi Scholars and alumni, compiling data into reports, coordinating scholarship disbursement, creating a 24-page Pedrozzi Foundation report, and more. We are so thankful to Benjamin for his contributions to the Pedrozzi Foundation!

Benjamin comments on his internship:

Thank you to everyone involved with the Pedrozzi Foundation. As a scholarship recipient I have been grateful for the financial support, but after working for the Foundation for the past two years, I am even more thankful for both the staff and board members who make it all possible. This is an organization made up of the highest quality of people who deeply care about helping others succeed. These are engaging, thoughtful people with kind hearts. The conversations I had in the office and with board members were the most meaningful part of the job, and I am very thankful to have been a part of this tremendous team.

The Pedrozzi Foundation wishes Benjamin continued success throughout his college journey!
