We are proud to recognize Avery Reynolds, a 2025 Pedrozzi Scholar, who will be attending UC Berkeley this fall to major in Economics — his top college choice and a meaningful continuation of his family’s legacy as a fourth-generation Cal student.
Avery received news of his scholarship while surrounded by close friends, describing the moment as “euphoric, to say the least.” With the support of this scholarship, he will begin his college journey without the burden of looming student loans, allowing him to focus fully on his academic and career goals.
At Berkeley, Avery looks forward to joining the Undergraduate Economics Association, connecting with driven peers, and applying to the prestigious Haas School of Business after his sophomore year. His interests span finance and public policy, and he sees Haas as a place where he can unlock his full potential and explore wide-ranging opportunities.
Equally important to Avery is giving back. Whether it’s cleaning up local creeks, tutoring students in math, or helping pack meals at the Alameda County Community Food Bank, he’s committed to staying engaged in service throughout his college experience and beyond.
Avery extends his heartfelt thanks to the Pedrozzi Foundation and his donors, Jay and Mary Davis, for helping make this next chapter possible.
Congratulations, Avery! We’re excited to see what your future holds at UC Berkeley and beyond.
