We’re proud to recognize Andre Valle, a 2024 Pedrozzi Scholar who is transferring from Las Positas College to the University of California, Berkeley this fall, where he will major in Sociology with a double minor in Education and Public Policy.
After graduating from Granada High School and completing the Middle College Program at Las Positas, Andre has continued to distinguish himself through leadership, service, and athletic excellence. Over the past year, he has served as a Student Ambassador, performed community outreach, led student organizations, and competed as a student-athlete on the swim team. His work as an ambassador deepened his passion for education and helped shape his goal of pursuing a career in higher education administration or policy, where he hopes to create opportunities and remove barriers for others.
“I’m extremely humbled to have received a scholarship from the Pedrozzi Foundation,” Andre shares. “It has played a meaningful role in removing financial barriers and opening new doors.”
Congratulations, Andre! Your dedication to service and education is inspiring, and we look forward to all you’ll accomplish at UC Berkeley and beyond.
