We are proud to highlight Anderson Schwarer, a 2026 Pedrozzi Scholar who will be attending UC Berkeley this fall to study Chemical Engineering! Driven by his passion for science, Anderson hopes to strengthen his research and tutoring skills to contribute to and learn from the Cal community.

Inspired by his time playing the saxophone in the Livermore High School music program, Anderson also hopes to continue his musical journey at Berkeley, whether through joining the Cal Band or becoming part of a music ensemble group. He shares about his musical journey:

“Music has been such a big part of my life for all of high school. Not only was I able to grow as a musician through the LHS music program, but I was able to find my deepest friends for life. For once, I feel like I found my community through music. I plan to continue playing music in college, whether that be the school’s marching band or music ensemble groups, and it’ll continue being a key part of my life. I’m currently in the process of purchasing my own saxophone to own over the summer, and I’m grateful that your support has made it possible.”

As a recipient of the Sandy Patterson Memorial Scholarship, Anderson expresses his gratitude to Matthew Edwards and the Pedrozzi Foundation for contributing to his education.

Congratulations, Anderson! We wish you all the best at UC Berkeley this fall.
