Mayor John Marchand presented the Pedrozzi Foundation with a Proclamation of The City of Livermore at the 10-Year Anniversary event in September 2018.
The Proclamation acknowledges:
“Whereas, Livermore businessman and former Livermore City Councilmember Mario Pedrozzi left his estate as a gift to the Livermore community to establish the Pedrozzi Foundation; and
Whereas, since 2008, the Pedrozzi Foundation has awarded over $4 million in scholarships to over 1,100 Livermore students for vocational, community college, undergraduate and graduate studies; and
Whereas, the Pedrozzi Foundation has continually expanded its impact by increasing financial aid literacy, improving access to college-readiness resources and encouraging industry specific training; and
Whereas, numerous Livermore community leaders have built upon Mario Pedrozzi’s vision by funding scholarships in honor of family, friends, educators and coworkers; and
Whereas, the Pedrozzi Foundation is a leading partner that fills in important gaps in preparing Livermore students for higher education and advanced training;
Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of Livermore thanks the Pedrozzi Foundation for a decade of supporting Livermore students and congratulates the Foundation on becoming a high-impact organization and valuable community asset.”
