Gretchen Reynolds, a 1993 Livermore High School alum and 2016 Pedrozzi Scholar, exemplifies that education is a continuous journey where there is always room to grow. She earned a BS in Biology from UC Berkeley in 1997 and a teaching credential and from CSU East Bay in 1999. After receiving her credential, she taught in Oakland, Cambodia, and China. For the past four years, she has been an independent study teacher at Vineyard High School in Livermore and was recognized and honored by the school district and Rotary Club of Livermore as an 2015 Outstanding Educator.
Gretchen is now pursuing a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM – science, technology, engineering and math -emphasis through Concordia University in Portland. She looks forward to utilizing her advanced training and knowledge as she better guides Vineyard High School students in their own educational journey.
Teaching has been her life’s work through various communities and settings, and hopes her passion translates into educational equity for students.
