Anthony Garcia

Anthony is the first in his family to attend college (currently at San Jose State University) and is grateful to have started his college career at Las Positas College. He shares his experience at Las Positas and his involvement in the start-up Eden:

Las Positas College has been nothing but wonderful to me. Being able to go to school where the student-to-teacher ratio is low allows me to ask questions and have a hands on experience with learning. My English teacher, Michelle Gonzales, made my English experience unforgettable. Though I am not majoring in English, she sure made me want to with the literature and in depth class discussions.

While attending community college, I am able to work a lot more and continue building my resume for future jobs. I recently joined a start-up company based out of San Francisco, Eden. Eden is Geek Squad and iCracked all in one. We provide in-home, personalized tech support for all things technology in the home. TV mounting? Computer set up? No problem. Cracked iPhone? Sure, bring it! Eden has allowed me to achieve a small goal of mine, working for a start up company and helping it grow. This passion and drive applies to not only my job, but my passion for technology and people as a whole within my education. Computer Science and Business Administration, my major and minor, teach me valuable things that I can apply in my every day life. Problem solving, people skills, and much much more. I am blessed to be given an opportunity and can’t thank the Pedrozzi Foundation enough for all that they do for our community here in Livermore.
